Bedroom Vastu tips
Do
- Sleep with your head towards the South or East.
- Place the bed in the South-West of the room, with a solid headboard against a wall.
- Use soft, earthy or pastel colours.
- Keep wardrobes on the South or West wall.
Don't
- Never sleep with your head towards the North.
- No mirror or TV facing the bed.
- Avoid placing the bed directly under a beam.
- Do not keep a temple or water feature / aquarium in the bedroom.
- Avoid clutter or storage under the bed.

Which direction is best for the master bedroom as per Vastu?
South-West (Nairutya) is the ideal zone for the master bedroom — it brings stability and strong relationships. South, West-South-West, West and North-North-West are also good.
Which direction is good for a children's bedroom?
West-South-West and West are good for children. East and North also suit children, though they are not ideal for the master bedroom.
Which direction should I sleep in?
Sleep with your head towards the South or East. Never sleep with your head towards the North.
Can I keep a mirror in the bedroom?
Yes, but not facing the bed. The same applies to a TV.
Which zones are not good for a bedroom?
North-East, East-South-East, South-East, South-South-West and West-North-West are not recommended for a bedroom.
